Impasto Art - Recent works by Brian Beattie

Brian Beattie is largely self taught and has had a passion for art and painting since his school days. He was encouraged by the late Liverpool artist and poet Adrian Henri who taught art at his school and who endeavoured to get him entrance to Southport Art College in 1963 but without success.

Some years ago he took art classes under the careful eye of his friend the and professional artist Roy Munday with whom he developed his present style and technique of impasto acrylic applied with a palette knife.

The exhibititon opens to the public on the 12th November and will run to the 22nd November.

Open Tuesday to Saturday 12 til 4pm.
